Tamarack Triangle Civic Association Meeting – March 19, 2025 – 7:00 pm

Attendees: recorded 25 neighborhood members (included guest speakers)

Meeting called to order by Peter Myo Khin at 7:10 pm

Program:

Guest speaker: Sergeant Ijeoma Enendu, Montgomery County Police Department

             Sergeant Enendu informed us of a county program which offers a rebate for citizens to obtain Ring cameras. There are also other programs for citizens, e.g., obtaining a Tile to aid in recovery of a stolen vehicle. MCPS detectives then spoke about cases they have investigated involving fraud and identity theft.

Guest speaker: Community Services Officer Brandon McCloud, MCPD.

            Officer McCloud discussed crime statistics in the county, especially automobile thefts.

TTCA Business Meeting:

            - Minutes from January 21, 2025 TTCA meeting are accepted as written.

Committee Reports:

Executive Committee:

             - Met twice regarding the transfer of bank accounts and membership dues.

             - Need to form a Membership Committee and develop a calendar.

             - The Membership Committee will be chaired by Reggie Stuart.

             - The membership form is on the Tamarack Triangle Village website.

Finance Committee:

            - Treasurer’s Report by Reggie Stuart

                        - Balance of $3140.29

                        - Officers will follow up with the bank to acquire new signature cards

                        - Archived Files will be organized by Board Member, Zohreh Hedjazi          

Living in Place Committee:

            - Joan Novell and Vernell DeWitty described the concept of a “Village”.

            -  May 3, 2025, Pazit Aviv, Montgomery County Village Coordinator will be the guest speaker at the Tamarack Triangle Village informational meeting. Diane explained the website.

             - Diane Straub spoke about the Tamarack Triangle Village Website

Additional Comments:

            - Suggestions for a new neighbor flyer were discussed.

            - Reggie Stuart suggested that three Executive Committee members meet in order to go to the bank to sign transfer papers.

Calendar:

            -  April 3, 2025 – Executive Committee meeting on Zoom

             - May 15, 2025 – Tamarack Triangle Civic Association meeting at Page Elem.
