The Montgomery County Ride On Bus serves the Tamarack community with routes running along Tamarack Road.

Metrobus, operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WAMTA), offers transportation services throughout the community with connections to many locations.

Flash buses currently operate on US 29. The County has a vision to expand transit mobility by providing a comprehensive Flash network throughout the community. Keep an eye out for Flash coming to Veirs Mill Rd, MD 355, North Bethesda, and New Hampshire Avenue.

Currently, two Flash Bus lines provide service from Tech Road to the Silver Spring Metro every 15 minutes.   The Blue Line is a commuter express running down Route 29 for a 22 minute scheduled trip during workday rush hours. The Orange Line runs daily and goes through the neighborhoods around White Oak, which adds 10 minutes to the trip.  All Flash Bus stations provide at grade entry so bikes and wheel chairs can roll on.

Flash Bus Rapid Transit Network

MTA Commuter Bus 201 operates between the Gaithersburg Park and Ride lot located at I-270 and MD 124 in Montgomery County and BWI Marshall Airport. The 201 makes stops at the Shady Grove Metro, the Georgia Avenue Park & Ride, the Burtonsville Park & Ride, and Arundel Mills Mall. It stops at the BWI Rail Station, plus Concourses A (Southwest Airlines) and E (International terminal), dropping off passengers on the upper level and picking up passengers on the lower level.
