Brain Health Empowerment Day — Passport to a Stronger Brain: 11/17/2026
As we mark Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, I wanted to briefly share an upcoming RHC community event that is part of our Healthy Aging Grant work.
Resilient Health Communities (RHC) is a grassroots nonprofit helping communities address cognitive decline and social isolation through practical brain-health education, simple cognitive-engagement activities, and stronger connection.
What has encouraged us most is what we are seeing in our groups: older adults returning week after week, building confidence, strengthening relationships, and increasingly helping shape the experience themselves.
On November 17, we are inviting the community to experience that work firsthand:
Brain Health Empowerment Day — Passport to a Stronger Brain
Tuesday, November 17 | 1:00–3:00 PM
East County Community Recreation Center
It will be a chance to experience Brain & Belonging in action—Brain Boost activities, practical brain-health learning, and the connection and participation that have become such an important part of our groups.
If your schedule allows, please stop by—even briefly—to experience it for yourself.
